Bregal’s new Chief People Officer desired a modern, flexible HRMS as their first-ever People platform. The system needed to accommodate a complex devolved model of uniquely, autonomous private equity funds with disparate structures, whilst still facilitating collaboration across global teams and supporting consistency where valuable. With a recent investment in HR leadership, they sought an implementation partner well-versed in rolling out HR tech across multifaceted organisations.
We came highly recommended after supporting Constanter, a sister company of Bregal, in enhancing their Bob CoreHR implementation. Our HRMS knowledge and success in enabling standardisation across independent groups stood out. Operating like an extension of their team, we leveraged our implementation mastery to guide Bob's step-by-step rollout. Along with the Chief People Officer, we Tackled Bregal’s distinct structure and found creative configurations to empower funds’ autonomy whilst driving adoption across the platform’s main functionalities.
What we got with Udder was a real thought-partner, not just a technical expert. Their HR functional experience and knowledge allowed them to advise on best practises, global considerations and local jurisdictional challenges, meaning I was best supported in my decision-making and strategy formulation
The People Team launch of performance and compensation reviews globally represented a watershed moment, driving an element of consistency across all groups for the first time. Specifically, review completion rates have vastly improved over the previous process and employees have welcomed enhancements to the Bob user experience.
Our adaptability in balancing standardisation and autonomy encouraged a view that the People platform is supporting the business, rather than the business bending to system inflexibility. The foundations now exist for Bregal’s People team to leverage Bob in executing their broader talent strategy.
